BPSYear 6 children have many happy memories from over the years at Buckingham Primary School.  Many of our year 6 started at the school nearly eight years ago!  Over this time, children could  have been on upto eighteen trips and three residential visits!  Many children will have taken part in project days (or weeks) covering a very wide range of subject areas.   Each year, children will have contributed towards at least one year group production, in addition to competing in sports days and a range of other sporting events.

Many children who joined the school from early years will have completed over two hundred pieces of homework, learned their spellings and times tables over four hundred times, borrowed two hundred and forty books from the library, borrowed even more books from the classroom, enjoyed nearly one thousand assemblies, and chased around the playground nearly one thousand times!

Many year 6 children have requested extensions to their VLE logins so that they can keep in touch with Buckingham Primary School and the things that are going on.  With this blog, year 6s will be able to do just that!  Even when year 6s move to their next school, they can come back and visit us virtually at anytime via our school website www.bps.bucks.sch.uk or our blog www.bpsblog.org.

Meanwhile, let us know, year 6, of your happy memories from over the years at BPS.  Write a comment below, checking your spelling very carefully.

At Buckingham Primary school I have really enjoyed all the fantastic residential trips that we have the privilege to enjoy. You can spend time with your friends and have a rest from life at home. It also is a great opportunity to learn how to cope with homesickness and worry of being away.

I have also really enjoyed all of Betsy’s assemblies. Betsy spends her own time coming into our school to sing songs with us and organise performances. I am really grateful to her and Mrs West for taking up singing club when Mrs Lane went on her maternity leave.

I love Buckingham Primary school!

One of the happy memories my friend and I will always remember from year 6 is when we took part in sports day and supported each other a lot. Also we enjoyed taking part in our year 6 production which was fantastic.

My happy memory is definitely Boyz dance, the production and sports day. The production was so exciting and fun to do some real acting and performing at the activate festival in Aylesbury with Boyz dance was nerve wracking but was brilliant. Another highlight was sportsday when our old class won it three years in a row and I have now been sprint champion always on the day.

New Barn: awesome
France: very very good
Boyz dance: legend
VLE: immense
Hazard Alley: hilarious:):)

I really enjoyed the trips in year 5 and year 6 e.g. the French trip, and the year 6 production.

I have really liked my time at Buckingham Primary School. For the past eight years, I have made lots of friends. I really enjoyed all the productions, especially this year’s. One of my happiest memorise is when we did the Frantic UK dance workshop I have enjoyed many more things too.

Some of my golden memories of Buckingham Primary school would be the year six production and all the great residential trips.

The year six production this year was a great success. I really enjoyed working as a team with everybody and we all supported each other. Thank you to Mrs West, Betsy and all the other teachers for putting it together.

All the residential trips have been really fun and I really recommend them to everybody else. France was a good opportunity to speak French and New Barn was a great time to be with your friends.

I loved the Y6 performances! I thought they were a great oppurtunity for people to show their acting skills.

I’ve had several good memories here at Buckingham Primary School. Most of which involved several of the volunteer/additional projects ( ie. The Bafta’s, several Art programmes – not to mention the several Science, French and Green days I have encountered whilst here at BPS. Overall, I have really enjoyed my time here at this school and I hope the generations yet to come will enjoy it as much as I have.

We have had a great time at BPS. The residential trips were great. The french trip in year 5 was really fun, and New Barn in year 6. It was nice trying different foods on french day and greek day. We have hads lots of fun days and weeks which are related to countries, recyling, and even making houses in the woods! Not forgeting the BAFTAs which was really fun to create our own movie.

At BPS we have REALLY enjoyed the residentials, such as Newbarn and the french trip. We have also really enjoyed the Baftas! There is NOTHING (apart from homework) that we didnt like at BPS! :)

Well…we liked the project homeworks…

I have had a great time at BPS. One of my happy memories is when we went to the Enterprise competition. It was even better when we won! I also enjoyed New Barn especially when we went to the beach to fossil hunting.

My happiest memory of BPS is probably the Year 5 residential to France. We went to a WW1/2 cemetery, a chocolate factory, a boulangerie and the best bit was going to the beach. We got to buy our own lunch and most of us learnt a bit of french!

Buckingham primary has been a great experience. I’ve made lots of friends. My happiest memory was when we went to France in year five. I’ve chosen it because it was the first time I’d slept over night with out family.
My roomate felt a little bit ill. In France we went to an aquarium and saw loads of different fish so that is why I have chosen the French trip!

My golden memory at Bps would have to be in year 4 when me,Jade,Marcy and Sophie all went up in assembly and sung WE WILL ROCK YOU!
(Red nose day.)

My happiest memory of bps was probably the year 5 french trip. The best bit of the trip was buying our own lunch!

In Buckingham Primary School I have had many funny lessons. I loved P.E. and Art. I also enjoyed Everything else.

I thoroughly enjoyed the prom on the 16th of July 2009 because they played live music and Michael Jackson songs. We all had a good time and some of us even cried!

I have really enjoyed my time, here at BPS. It has been a great experience throughout my life starting at nursery and have just finished year 6. I remember growing up in nursery and making lots of new friends. Now that we are now all moving up to different schools. I would like to say a big Good luck to all of my friends who I will miss and remember. I will stay in touch with everyone and make sure I will keep on talking to you. XXXXXxxxxxXXXXX
