The children of Buckingham Primary School are loving the amazing range of outdoor play equipment that is now available.  The new ‘Astroturf’ all weather picture is already being used by children from across the school during lunchtimes, play-times and PE lessons.  The enclosed area is hugely popular for 5-a-side football and netball, and having ball games in this area allows children to safely play other games on the traditional playgrounds.  Many of the outdoor developments have been at the suggestion of the active school council.

The pond area redevelopment is also coming along very well.  Thanks to the efforts of the team, the ‘outdoor classroom’  is nearing completion, with a wide range of plants and animals now enjoying their redeveloped habitats.  The noisiest inhabitants are undoubtedly the ducks, who are enjoying their new pond and duck house!

Buckingham Primary School is indeed a very exciting place to be.  In fact, one pupil today mentioned that he was almost ‘bursting with excitement’ when he wakes up the morning at the thought of coming in to school!

The school is looking in great form. Probably the best I have seen it in years.

Wow! I love all the new things. The Astroturf is soft, the long jump looks good and the pond is awesome. By the way, does anyone know what the ducks are called?

P.S. The new blog is awesome!

Wow! I know the All Weather Pitch is great. I really like it.

I don’t know what the ducks are called, but I want to know!

The all weather pitch rocks!
You should all try it!
