Children in year 4 have been enjoying creating Roman newspapers as part of their work in history. Pupils have used ICT to create images and text, and they have then organised their ideas using word processing skills. This is all part of a unit of work entitled ‘Publishing for an audience’. Other activities during the unit of work have included sending emails with attachments, writing blog posts and even creating web pages as part of a ‘Wiki’!
Children would really appreciate any comments that you could leave regarding their work. The school blog is a great place for us to generate an audience for children’s writing.
Hi,
I liked all of your newspapers.
from JP.
I like the newspapers that three people have made.
I really enjoyed your newspaper. It was really good fun reading it.
ps: very exciting.
Wow! Brilliant newspapers! I love the fiery graphics. I’m glad I don’t have to clean my teeth in Roman times. Now it is snack time so I must stop reading and get back to eating my fried dormouse.
Well done for creating some wonderful newspapers in your ICT lessons. Keep up the good work!
A brilliant newspaper!
